[origin: WO2014064213A1] The invention relates to a modular bus system (10) for data and/or energy transmission, comprising at least two stations (12; 14) that can be placed next to each other. Each station (12, 14) has a housing (18) which comprises a plurality of walls (20). An antenna (22) is arranged in or on a first wall (20a, 20b) of the housing (18). Said antenna defines a geometrical surface area which has an area ratio of at least 0.5 to the surface area of the first wall (20a). The stations (12, 14) are electrically coupled to each other as an antenna (22) of each station is electromagnetically coupled to an antenna (24) of another station to transmit data and/or energy. The first walls (20a) of stations (12, 14) that are electrically coupled to each other run approximately parallel to one another.
