The emission of volatile organic compounds, particularly terpene and acids is reduced by the addition of the additives. The additive is an activated carbon. The adhesive is a formaldehyde-free adhesive, such as isocyanates or formaldehyde, particularly a phenol-formaldehyde glue, urea-formaldehyde glue, melamine-urea formaldehyde glue, melamine-urea-phenol-formaldehyde adhesive, tannin-formaldehyde glue or a mixture.
