[origin: WO2014076285A1] The invention concerns a treatment apparatus (1) for collecting the matter adhered to the outer surface of packages that are to be treated and have previously been shredded, said apparatus (1) comprising: - a cylindrical rotary drum (4) forming a screen to hold the shredded packages (13) and to allow the matter to be collected to pass therethrough; - a rotary brush (7) mounted in the rotary drum (4) to brush the inner face of this drum; - motorised means (12) for rotating the brush (7) and the cylindrical drum (4); - an outer housing (3) for collecting the matter from the shredded packages inserted into the cylindrical drum (4) and having passed through the wall of this cylindrical drum (4).
