[origin: WO2014076728A2] The invention concerns a new ironing board with innovative characteristics consisting of a box-shaped furniture unit provided with castors for easy displacement that houses the ironing board, whose ironing surface is foldable and mounted on a telescopic column. Once the upper closing surface of the unit has been raised, which is hinged on one wall of said unit, the ironing surface can be raised to the desired height by operating the telescopic column that can be built with a piston or a worm screw. The boiler is housed in a compartment inside the unit and is connected through a flexible duct to the ironing surface and will supply it with steam and power. The ironing surface is provided with two extensions that can be opened to increase the ironing surface. Said ironing board has an air suction/blowing function, is heated and supplied with steam. The ironing board opening and closing operations, once the unit lid has been lifted, can also be performed electrically by simply pressing a pushbutton and/or by means of a remote control, thus making it extremely practical to use.
