The inspection system is located at a conveying path (203) for containers to be inspected and comprises an image evaluation and control device (305) to remove the containers which have been detected to be defective from the flow of conveyed containers by correspondingly controlling a redirecting device. The inspection system is characterized in that the objective is designed as a stereoscopic objective.
