[origin: US2014137482A1] An abrasive article has a body including an abrasive portion with a bond material, abrasive particles contained in the bond material, and a reinforcing member contained in the body. The abrasive portion can have a fracture propagation toughness WOF of at least about 5 kJ/m2. The reinforcing member can have openings with an open area of not greater than about 100 mm2 within a major plane of the reinforcing member.
