Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2014079711A1] The present invention provides a pack (P) of smoking articles (C), comprising a frame (2) of a semi-rigid material having preferably a major panel (3), side flaps (4) and an end flap (5), which are arranged adjacent a face, opposite sides, and an end, respectively, of a charge (G) of smoking articles; and a flexible barrier sheet (12) around the charge (G) and the frame (2), forming a sealed enclosure; wherein at least one of the side flaps (4) has a cut-out region (7) such that said at least one side flap (4) is discontinuous over a length (L) of the respective opposite side of the charge (G) of smoking articles (C). The present invention also provides a method of packaging smoking articles in such a pack (P).
