[origin: WO2014079828A1] The invention relates to a collector box (10) for a motor vehicle, which includes a collector (12) for receiving heat exchange tubes (14) and a cover (16) mounted on the collector (12). The collector box (14) extends in a longitudinal direction and has a cross-section having a maximum height (h) and a maximum width (I). The collector (12) is a metal profile member defined at the longitudinal ends thereof by two end walls (13) that extend in a substantially transverse plane. Said two end walls (13) are mounted on the metal profile member and the maximum height (h) of the collector box is no smaller than at least one and a half times the width (I) of the collector.
