Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2014079798A1] The invention relates to a barrelled weapon with a mass-lockable breech mechanism (1, 1'), which comprises a breech casing (2, 2') with a breech part (3, 3') movably mounted therein. In order in the case of such a barrelled weapon to achieve the lowest possible recoiling forces acting on the carrier of the weapon when a shot is fired, the invention proposes integrating a hydraulic brake (8, 8') in the breech part (3, 3') such that the time sequence of the force transmission when a shot is fired is changed in such a way that the level of the recoiling force that acts on the carrier of the weapon can be reduced.
