Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2014080088A1] The invention concerns a device (10) for storing and dispensing articles (12). The device includes a storage arrangement (20) with a number of elongated stacking units (14) for storing articles stacked, an arrangement (11) for dispensing articles from the device, gripping means (30) for picking the uppermost article of a stack from a stacking unit, and a carrier (16) arranged for the gripping means for moving an article from the stacking units to the dispensing arrangement. The carrier is adapted to extend parallel to the stacking units, the carrier is adapted to move the gripping means lengthwise of the stacking units, the stacking units include an access (25) adapted to be positioned on the side of the carrier, for the gripping means. The invention also concerns a method for storing and dispensing articles from the device.
