[origin: US2015273482A1] An outlet device of a solid bowl centrifuge for separating a multi-phase material is arranged on an end wall of a centrifuge bowl that rotates about a longitudinal axis. An outlet opening is formed in the end wall, and has a deflecting apparatus for deflecting in the direction of the end-wall circumference a fluid of the material that has passed through the outlet opening. The deflecting apparatus has a segment that is spaced from the longitudinal axis by a segment radius and that has a deflecting segment, along which the deflected fluid can be conducted toward the end-wall circumference before being laterally thrown off by the outlet device. The outlet device has a guide, by means of which the deflected fluid can be brought to a lower-energy positional potential in the gravitational field of the solid bowl centrifuge before being thrown off by the outlet device.
