[origin: WO2014063771A1] The invention relates to a device for grinding rails (2) of a track (3) which device is equipped with a frame (11) which is movable on the track by means of rail bogies. Grindstones (17) which are each associated with a rail (2) and are disposed one behind the other in the longitudinal direction of the rail are provided on said frame, wherein each grindstone (17) can be adjusted in the vertical direction by means of a drive unit (14, 20) or can be delivered to the running surface (16) of a rail. At least one grindstone (17) is designed to be rotatable by 180° about a vertical axis (19) by means of a dedicated rotary drive (18).
