[origin: WO2014082774A1] A fuel injection valve (1) for a fuel injection system of internal combustion engines, in particular for directly injecting fuel into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, comprises a magnetic coil (10), an armature (20), which is urged through the magnetic coil (10) in a closing direction by a restoring spring (23), and a valve needle (3), which is connected to the armature (20) in a force-fitting manner, for actuating a valve closing element (4), which forms a sealing seat together with a valve seat surface (6), said armature (20) being movably arranged on the valve needle (3). At least one spray opening (7) is formed downstream of the valve seat surface (6), said spray opening having a separation edge (41) in the transition between a first (7') and a second spray opening section (7") such that the full opening angle (α) of the spray opening (7) at the separation edge (41) is > 270° over the entire circumferential separation edge (41) such that a circumferential base region (42) which is set back behind the transition plane on which the separation edge (41) is located extends from the separation edge (41) to the base of the second spray opening section (7") of the spray opening (7).
