[origin: US2015282620A1] An office chair mechanism includes a base support for placement on a chair column, a seat support on the base support being movable relative to the base support and a backrest coupled to the seat support. Pivoting the backrest moves the seat support relative to the base support. A track element is movably connected at a base support connecting point to the base support and at a seat support connecting point to the seat support to adjust pivoting resistance of the backrest. Pivoting the backrest alters position and/or location of the track element. A spring element acting on the track element and on the seat support or on the backrest and/or a backrest support is acted upon with a movement of the seat support relative to the base support. An adjustment device alters the position of a point of action of the spring element on the track element.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Mechanik (1) für einen Bürostuhl mit einem auf einer Stuhlsäule plazierbaren Basisträger (2), mit einem auf dem Basisträger (2) angeordneten, relativ zu dem Basisträger (2) bewegbaren Sitzträger (4) und mit einer mit dem Sitzträger (4) gekoppelten Rückenlehne, wobei ein Verschwenken der Rückenlehne eine Bewegung des Sitzträgers (4) relativ zu dem Basisträger (2) bewirkt. Um den Schwenkwiderstand der Rücklehne einzustellen, wird vorgeschlagen: ein Bahnelement (18), das einerseits an einem Basisträgerverbindungspunkt (22) mit dem Basisträger (2) und andererseits an einem Sitzträgerbindungspunkt (29) mit dem Sitzträger (4) beweglich verbunden ist, wobei ein Verschwenken der Rückenlehne eine Änderung der Position und/oder der Lage des Bahnelementes (18) bewirkt; ein einerseits an dem Bahnelement (18) und andererseits an dem Sitzträger (4) oder an der Rückenlehne bzw. einem Rückenlehnenträger (5) angreifendes Federelement (34), welches Federelement (34) bei einer Bewegung des Sitzträgers (4) relativ zu dem Basisträger (2) beaufschlagt wird; und eine Verstelleinrichtung (44) zur Änderung der Position des Angriffspunktes (40) des Federelements (34) an dem Bahnelement (18).
