Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verschlussmittel mit einem von einer Schließstellung in eine Offenstellung bewegbaren Verschlusselement (10) und einem Halteelement (11) zum Halten des Verschlusselementes (10) in seiner Schließstellung, wobei das Halteelement (11) von einer Haltestellung, in welcher es das Verschlusselement (10) in seiner Schließstellung hält, in eine Freigabestellung, welche ein Öffnen des Verschlusselementes (10) erlaubt, bewegbar ist. Um ein unbeabsichtigtes Öffnen, sei es durch den Bediener oder sei es beispielsweise während des Transports, zuverlässig zu vermeiden, ist das erfindungsgemäße Verschlussmittel dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Halteelement (11) formschlüssig in der Haltestellung gesichert ist. Ein solches Verschlussmittel eignet sich insbesondere zum Sichern von Konfettishootern.
