[origin: EP2927364A1] The present application in particular relates to a method of conducting a drying cycle for drying wet laundry in a tumble drum of a laundry treating machine (1). The method comprises a step of determining a laundry load quantity and adapting the drying cycle in dependence of the laundry load quantity. The laundry load quantity is determined from at least one actual noise of an operational parameter of an electric drive motor (11) driving the drum (5).
