[origin: EP2740549A1] The driver roller (1) has the axle shaft end portions (3,5) that are indirectly attached to a roller portion through the annular or disc-shaped support elements (4,6) by the detachable connecting unit. The longitudinal axis of the axle shaft end portion is set in coaxial with the longitudinal axis of the roller portion. The axle shaft end portion is a separate component. A groove is formed in a front wall of the support element. A flange of the support element is flanged to the axle shaft end portions. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing driver roller.
