[origin: WO2014086876A1] To provide a hand-held grinding machine, comprising a holding device for holding the grinding machine, comprising a drive motor and comprising a tool head, wherein the holding device comprises a substantially tubular bar with a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the drive motor is arranged at the proximal end, wherein the tool head is arranged at the distal end, wherein the grinding machine comprises a transmission shaft which connects the drive motor to a tool holder of the tool head for the transmission of torque and which runs at least in sections within the tubular bar, wherein the tubular bar comprises a grip region at which a user grips the grinding machine during grinding operation, which hand-held grinding machine permits simple, efficient and as far as possible fatigue-free grinding, it is proposed that a centre of gravity of the drive motor and a centre of gravity of the tool head are arranged on mutually opposite sides of a longitudinal axis of the tubular bar.
