[origin: WO2014090474A1] The invention relates to a roll-type press for the compaction, briquetting and/or crushing of material, in particular for hot briquetting or hot compaction. The roll-type press has two press rolls and a feed apparatus by means of which the material to be processed is fed to the roll nip between the rolls. The feed apparatus has at least one feed worm which is arranged in a worm housing and which is driven in rotation and which has a worm shaft and a worm thread fastened thereto, said worm thread being formed by a worm coil that surrounds the worm shaft in coiled fashion. The roll-type press is distinguished by the fact that the worm thread or the worm coil has a greater pitch in a lower end region facing toward the roll nip than in an upper region facing away from the roll nip.
