Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2014090705A1] The invention relates to a speed limiter (1), which is used for an elevator system (2), comprising a stator (6), a wheel (7) rotatably supported on the stator (6), and a running surface (9), which extends non-circularly and which can be rotated by means of the wheel (7). A pendulum (11) is provided, which can be pivoted in relation to the stator (6) and which has a pendulum wheel (10) lying against the running surface (9). Furthermore, a restraining device (12) is provided, which at least indirectly applies a restraining force toward the running surface (9) to the pendulum wheel (10). In the event of a certain swinging-out motion of the pendulum (11), in which the pendulum wheel (10) lifts off of the running surface (9), a switching lug (3) which is connected to the pendulum (11) engages with a blocking cam (15) which is at least indirectly connected to the wheel (7). In addition, an actuating device (21) is provided, which is used to trigger the engagement between the switching lug (3) and the blocking cam (15). The invention further relates to an elevator system (2) comprising such a speed limiter (1).
