Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2014086476A1] The invention relates to a device for producing a security paper, wherein a first wet end (1) of a papermaking machine forms a first paper web and optionally provides it with individualizing features, such as an opening, an endless security element or a watermark, and a second wet end (2) of a papermaking machine forms a second paper web. A suction device removes paper fibres from the first and/or second paper web in the still wet state at at least one location, preferably in register with the optionally present individualizing features of the first paper web. Subsequently, the second paper web is combined with and connected fixedly to the first paper web via a pick-up conveyor (8). According to the invention, the suction device has an endless belt (9) made from a wire-like fabric or with a closed surface, wherein the endless belt has at least one cut-out in register with the at least one location, at which the paper fibres are to be removed from the paper web in the still wet state. The endless belt is tensioned on at least two positionally adjustable guide rolls (3). A suction roll (4) or a suction box (7) is arranged on that side of the endless belt which lies opposite the paper web, wherein the suction roll or the suction box generates a vacuum and extracts the paper fibres through the cut-outs of the belt.
