[origin: WO2014086658A1] The subject matter of the invention is a turbomachine comprising a housing (1), an electromotor (2) arranged in the housing (1), the electromotor (2) having a stator (3) and a rotor (4) arranged on a shaft (5), also comprising at least one impeller (6), which is driven by the shaft (5), has at least one ring of blades (11) that delimit blade chambers, and is arranged in a pump housing (7), and further comprising a lateral channel (12), which is arranged in the pump housing (7), lies opposite each respective ring of blade chambers, and extends from a pump inlet (13) as far as a pump outlet (14). A ramp (15) is arranged at the end of the lateral channel (12) in the radially internal half (18) of the lateral channel (12), which ramp rises in the direction of flow from the channel floor (17) up to the height of the pump housing wall (16), while the lateral channel (12) transitions into the pump outlet (14) at its radially external half (19).
