[origin: WO2014097025A1] A device is disclosed having a CCD barcode reader and a mirror that receives a scanning line emitted by the CCD reader and reflects said line on a reading region set up for receiving a card bearing a barcode, wherein the mirror oscillates around a rotation axis to move the reflected scanning line on the card according to a scanning direction that is perpendicular to the longitudinal extent of the reflected scanning line.
