[origin: WO2014090533A1] The invention relates to a method of controlling access to a station (102) for automated rental of vehicles comprising at least one parking location for a vehicle offered for rental, said station (102) being situated within a structure (104) access to which is controlled by a passage control device (108-112) disposed at at least one entrance/exit of said structure (104), said passage control device (108-112) being movable between an open position permitting passage and a closed position prohibiting passage, said method (200) comprising a phase, termed permission, comprising the following steps: • - acquisition of an identifier of said user by an acquisition means (122-126) disposed at an entrance/exit of said structure (104), • - transmission of said identifier to a remote server (116) of said structure (104) through a communication network, • - verification of at least one condition relating to said user so as to grant or deny passage to said user, and • - command of the passage control device (108-112), disposed at said entrance/exit of said structure (104), as a function of said verification of said at least one condition.
