[origin: WO2014090448A1] The invention relates to a method for synchronizing data packages from a free-run data communication network (14) with a clocked data communication network (12) comprising the following steps: receiving clocked data packages (72) from the clocked data communication network in a gateway (28) to time intervals (70) of the clocked data communication network (12); packing data from the clocked data packages (72) into first free-run data packages (74) for the free-run data communication network (14) in the gateway (28); providing each of the free-run data packages (74) with one time stamp, from which time stamp one time interval of a clocked data package (72) is reconstructible, the data of which time interval were packaged into a respective first unclocked data package (74); sending the first unclocked data packages (74) via the unclocked data communication network (14) to a receiver node (24) of the unclocked data communication network (14); reading the time stamp from the first unclocked data packages (74) and reconstructing the time interval (80) of the clocked data communication network (12) from the time stamps, a sending frequency, a number of the clocked data packages and/or a local interval in the receiver node (24); and sending two free-run data packages in a time interval (84) that is synchronous with the reconstructed time interval (84).
