[origin: WO2014105592A1] Generally, the present disclosure is directed to selectively archiving patient data in a multi-modality medical processing system. The method and system described herein selectively archive medical data at a patient case level, at modality data set level, and/or at an individual image level, so as to allow a practitioner to have a fine level of control over the specific data archived. Further, data sets in different medical modalities may be archived at the same time, and patient cases corresponding to different patients may be archived at the same time to increase archival efficiency.
