Eine Vorrichtung zum Beheizen des Fahrgästraumes und/oder Fahrstandes von Schienenfahrzeugen weist ein Heizgerät (2) auf, das von Zuluft durchströmt wird, die von einem Ventilator (6) gefördert wird. Im Zuluftstrom ist ein an den Kühlkreislauf mindestens eines Motors (5) angeschlossener Kühlwasser-Wärmetauscher (4) angeordnet. Dadurch kann die Abwärme des Schienenfahrzeuges genutzt werden.
