Procédé de fonctionnement d'un appareil de repassage comportant une cuve pour la génération de vapeur sous pression, caractérisé en ce que lors du fonctionnement de l'appareil on procède aux étapes suivantes : - Extraction, par exemple par pompage, d'au moins une partie de l'eau présente dans la cuve pour l'envoyer vers un dispositif pour réduire la quantité de tartre contenu dans l'eau, - Récupération d'au mois une partie de l'eau traitée par le dispositif pour l'envoyer vers une réserve d'eau, dite propre, ménagée sur l'appareil, - Envoi vers la cuve, par exemple par pompage, d'au moins une partie de l'eau présente dans la réserve d'eau propre.
