[origin: WO2014118435A1] A method in which operative variables of a welding device are arranged into a first array of menu items, and values for the operative variables into second arrays of menu items, each of the second arrays corresponding to one menu item of the first array. Display objects of the menu items are arranged respectively into a first selection window and a second selection window, only one of which is active at a time. At least one of the selection windows is arranged to be scrolled with a rotary movement provided by a hand of a user.
