[origin: WO2014117938A1] The invention relates to a security element for producing documents of value such as bank notes, cheques or similar, and which comprises an upper side on which a micro-relief structure (2) is formed that has at least two sub-regions (8, 9) each of which comprises a plurality of groove and/or rib-shaped adjoining structural elements (3) that extend along in a longitudinal direction (10, 11) and are reflective or backscattering, the longitudinal directions (10, 11) of said sub-regions (8, 9) being different. Each of these structural elements (3) is non-resolvable to the naked eye in relation to the width transverse to the longitudinal direction (10, 11), and fans out parallel light (4) incident thereupon achromatically in a fan (5) that lies transversely to the longitudinal direction (10, 11) and has an opening angle of at least 30°.
