Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2014118130A1] The invention relates to a movable permanent contact (4) consisting of two portions (8, 11) that are separated by a dielectric spacer (12) and are in communication with the electrical terminal (6) via respective contact coronae (9, 10). The current mainly passes through the front corona (10) and the end (8) during normal service. When the circuit breaker is turned on, said connection stops, the current passes through the arcing contacts (2, 5), and the switching arc, which briefly appears between (8 and 10), is confined in a transom (14) and advantageously by a dielectric hood (18) which spares the most sensitive portions of the space between terminals, where the electrical field is stronger.
