The connection element can be moved from a closed position to a current-interrupting or voltage-disconnecting position by means of a slide (4) preloaded by spring force, wherein the connection element consists of a pair of current-dividing metal bows (1, 1'), the ends of which directed toward the contact lug of the overvoltage protection unit extend in parallel and which accommodate the respective contact lug of the overvoltage protection unit in the centre of the bows, wherein the closed position is secured between the connection element and the contact lug in the region of the ends of the bows extending in parallel by means of a solder (3). The ends of the bows facing away from the contact lug of the overvoltage protection unit are connected to one another in such a way that a free space is enclosed and have a segment for outer connection parts in the further course, wherein the slide having a preloading spring is inserted in the free space in such way that the spring preload is oriented in the direction of the contact lug of the overvoltage protection unit.
