Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2014125232A1] The method makes it possible to generate feed signals for a system (Γ) of two sets of loudspeakers (Ε1',Ε2') situated on either side of a separation plane (D'), with a view to sound restitution of a multichannel signal (S') to two spatial listening positions (Ρ1',Ρ2'), each associated with a set of loudspeakers and situated on a plane parallel (L1',L2') to the plane of separation so that at least one loudspeaker of this set is on either side of this parallel plane. The method comprises, for each set of loudspeakers, the generation, on the basis of an input signal derived from the multichannel signal, of feed signals for the loudspeakers of this set, comprising the application of a transaural restitution technique to the input signal creating a virtual sound source (V1',V2') on a first straight line (d11',d22') obtained by symmetry, with respect to the parallel plane (Ρ1',Ρ2') on which the spatial listening position associated with this set is situated, of a second straight line (d12',d21') connecting the spatial listening position to the loudspeaker furthest from this position belonging to the other set of loudspeakers.
