[origin: WO2014127879A1] The invention relates to a filling system for filling bottles or similar containers (2) with liquid contents, said system comprising multiple filling points (4.1, 4.2), each of which has at least one filler element (7, 32) and a container holder (8, 8a) and two of which form a respective filling point pair. Each filler element has a liquid channel (10) in a filler element housing (9), said channel comprising at least one dispensing opening (13) for dispensing the liquid contents into the respective container and at least one liquid valve (14) that controls said dispensing process. At least one gas path containing at least one gas path control valve (19) is provided for each filler element for controlling the filling process and at least one lifter device (28, 28a, 28b) for raising and lowering the at least one container holder is provided for the filling points of each filling point pair.
