[origin: WO2014128017A1] The invention relates to a roadway joint device (1) for providing a joint section over which a vehicle can drive between a road and an adjoining structure over which a vehicle can drive, in particular a bridge structure (2). At least one joint element (4) is placed on a sliding surface (8) adjacently to the bridge structure (2). The longitudinal axis (4.1) of the at least one joint element (4) is arranged substantially parallel to a plane (16.1) of the roadway (16) and to a bridge end portion (2.1) of the bridge structure (2), and joint gaps (11) with a specified width (11.1) are arranged between each of the at least one joint element (4) and the adjoining bridge end portion (2.1) and/or an adjoining retaining device (3) which is arranged at a distance to the bridge end portion (2.1). The at least one joint element (4) is attached to at least one rod (5), said rod (5) being arranged substantially in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the bridge structure (2) and being anchored in the bridge structure (2) at one rod end (5.1) and in the retaining device (3) at the other rod end (5.2).
