[origin: WO2014128392A1] Method for heating fuel upon start-up of a hybrid vehicle combustion engine (1), in which method the temperature of the fuel (T_GO) and the temperature outside the vehicle (T_ext) are compared against a first threshold (T_GO_liml) below which the starting of the vehicle is forbidden, and against a second threshold (T_GO_lim2) higher than the first and above which the engine will start without the fuel being heated, characterized in that the fuel is heated by exchange of heat with the cooling circuit (8) for the vehicle battery (6) when the external temperature (T_ext) is comprised between the two thresholds (T_GO_liml, T_GO_lim2).
