Kosmetikapplikator (1) mit einem die Applikationsorgane in Gestalt von Borsten (6) und/oder Kammzinken (10, 10') tragenden Kern (2), wobei der Kern (2) durch ein geschlitztes Rohr gebildet wird, das auf seiner Außenumfangsfläche mit Borsten und/oder Kammzinken besetzt ist, und das geschlitzte Rohr mindestens eine in Richtung parallel zur Längsachse des Rohres verlaufende Schwächungsnut (8) aufweist, die das Einrollen des Rohres unter Einfluss von von außen auf das Rohr einwirkenden Kräften erleichtert oder das Aufdehnen des Rohres mittels eines in ihm angeordneten Exzenters.
