[origin: WO2014131648A1] The invention relates to a method for removing coatings of microbial origin from systems for preparing and supplying drinking water and service water, in particular for removing biofilms formed on the surfaces in contact with water of water-conducting pipe networks, pipelines and sections thereof and of containers through which flow passes, in which the water is removed from the system or sections of the system to be cleaned, an air and/or gas stream is guided past the coatings in order to largely dry them and thus make them detachable, and the at least partially dried coatings are then flushed out of the treated system with a flushing liquid.
