[origin: EP2962856A1] Provided is a heating member that is a multi-zone and/or a resilient heating member. The heating member is part of a thermal transfer printing device or it may be designed to be included into a thermal transfer printing device. In use the heating member is allowed to contact target matter and/or a source of matter to be transferred to the target matter. Each heating zone of the multi-zone heating member is allowed to independently transfer a preselected thermal energy to contacted target matter. The resilient heating member is allowed to conformably contact target matter and/or a source of matter to be transferred to the target matter.
