Abstract (en)
A reinforced oven cavity (2000) is described that better with-stands the thermal stress that occurs when a self-cleaning process of an oven is performed. In particular, in the area of a flange that extends from one of the structural parts out-wardly (6448), a bending area (6449) is provided that extends all along the flange in a right angle or only in parts of flange where a special structural support is required, such as parts that contain an opening (2700). The bending area provides structural support in a different direction of the structural support that is provided by the flange and thus further improves the stability of the sidewalls and better prevents cracking and chipping off of the enamel coating of the oven cavity in an improved way prolonging the lifespan in view of high temperature gradients.
