[origin: WO2014139891A1] The invention relates to an input unit for an operating element actuatable by pressure or rotation, comprising a cylindrical input element that is rotatably supported on a carrier. The carrier is arranged pivotably against a housing part. The input element has a cavity, in which a detent curve body is movably arranged. One end face of the detent curve body has a detent curve, which is pressed against a detent projection on the carrier by a spring acting on the detent sleeve body in the axial direction of the input element. The other end face of the detent curve body has one or more mouldings, which can be inserted into a recess of the housing part by an axial displacement of the detent curve body against the input element.
