[origin: EP2974840A1] A rotary tool with adjustable thickness, which is configured to be used in squaring machines for panels made of composite material, comprising cutters holders (1, 2), connected with a hydraulic-expansion hub (4), which are coaxially arranged and which are rotated together at the same time; in particular, a double rack is placed between said cutters holders (1, 2), said rack having a single shaped profile (5), associated with a first portion (3) of said tool connected to a first cutter holder (1), and two conjugate profiles (6, 61), associated with a second portion (11) of said tool connected to a second cutter holder (2), respective adjustment pins (7) being coupled with said rack and moving along said profiles (5, 6, 61) at discrete steps thanks to the pressure of at least one annular chamber (13) defined by said first portion (3) of the tool and adjacent to said profiles (5, 6, 61), so as to make an adjustment at discrete steps of the distance between said cutters holders (1, 2).
