[origin: WO2014146710A1] An apparatus (1) for exercising the muscles comprises a power arm (2) which, at one end area (3), is equipped with actuating elements (4) and, with the other end area (5), is pivotable about a first joint (9). This first joint (9) is arranged on a holding element (6). One end area (10) of a spring element (11) is articulated on the power arm (2) at a first articulation point (12), while the other end area (13) is articulated on the holding element (6). The holding element (6) is connected to a support (17) via a rotary joint, is rotatable about this support (17) in one plane and can be locked in each suitably adjusted rotation position. This apparatus allows a wide variety of muscle groups to be exercised and moved in a very simple way.
