[origin: WO2014146733A1] The invention relates to an iron-based shape memory alloy. The problem addressed by the invention is providing an iron-based shape memory alloy which provides a one-way shape memory effect, has an increased activation temperature in comparison to copper and nickel-based alloys at reduced production costs and has improved corrosion and forming properties in comparison to nickel-free and chromium-comprising concepts. The problem is solved by an alloy having the features of patent claim 1.
