[origin: WO2014146823A1] The invention relates to a system (3) having a plurality of panels (1, 2) for cladding a wall, ceiling or front of a piece of furniture, in particular acoustic panels, wherein each panel (1, 2) has a front side (4), which is bounded by two longitudinal edges (5a, 5b) extending parallel to each other, and two transverse edges (6a, 6b) extending parallel to each other, which extend orthogonally with respect to the longitudinal edges (5a, 5b), and on the front side (4) has an intrinsically non-symmetrical decoration (7, 7'). In order to clad large rooms or long walls by means of panels (1, 2) which have sound-absorbing properties in an attractive and particularly simple way, the decoration (7) of a first of the panels (1, 2) according to the invention differ from the decoration (7') of a second of the panels (1, 2), that the decoration (7) of the first panel (1) at a longitudinal edge (5a) corresponds to the decoration (7) at the opposite longitudinal edge (5b) thereof, and that the decoration (7') of the second panel (2) correspond to the decoration (7) of the first panel (1) reflected about one of the longitudinal edges (5a, 5b) thereof. The invention further relates to a method for producing a cladding of a wall, ceiling or front of a piece of furniture by using such a system (3). The invention further relates to a method for producing such a system (3). Finally, the invention relates to a use of the system (3) and to a use of the method.
