[origin: US2016015114A1] A protective helmet including a shell on which are moveably mounted a shield and a chin guard, the chin guard being moveable between a closed position and an open position and having two lateral branches each provided with a guide in which is meshed a guiding finger fixed on the shell, and the shield being moveable between a lowered position and a lifted position and having two lateral arms articulated on the shell, the helmet having an automatic lifting mechanism of the shield configured to lift the shield from the lowered position during the closing movement of the chin guard and including at least a cam-follower system including: a rotary cam secured to a guiding finger pivotally mounted on the shell and connected in rotation to the corresponding lateral branch of the chin guard by cooperation of form with the guide, and a follower element secured to a lateral arm of the shield, wherein the cam and the follower element are at least in partial contact along a given cam surface.

Casque (1) de protection du type comportant une coque sur laquelle sont montés mobile un écran (3) et une mentonnière (4), ladite mentonnière étant mobile entre une position fermée et une position ouverte et présentant deux branches latérales (41) chacune pourvue d'une glissière (44) dans laquelle est engagé un doigt de guidage (26) fixé sur la coque, et l'écran (3) étant mobile entre une position abaissée et une position relevée et présentant deux bras latéraux (31) articulés sur la coque, le casque comprenant un mécanisme de relevage automatique de l'écran configuré pour relever l'écran à partir de sa position abaissée lors du mouvement de fermeture de la mentonnière et comportant au moins un système came - suiveur comprenant : - une came (263) rotative solidaire d'un doigt de guidage (26) monté pivotant sur la coque et lié en rotation à la branche latérale correspondante de la mentonnière par coopération de forme avec sa glissière, et - un élément suiveur (34) solidaire d'un bras latéral de l'écran, où la came et l'élément suiveur sont en contact au moins partiel selon une surface de came donnée. L'invention trouve une application dans le domaine des casques de protection, et plus particulièrement des casques de motocyclisme.
