[origin: EP2977125A1] One object of the present invention is to produce a relatively thin-walled casting by a gravity casting process using a metal which has relatively poor fluidity. A sand mold includes a recess (30) formed in a main mold (12 and 14), opening to a cavity of the main mold (12 and 14) and a partial sand mold (40) configured to be detachably attachable to the recess (30). Then, partial sand mold (40) is set to a temperature of 200°C or above, and casting is carried out by installing the partial sand mold (40) with a temperature of 200°C or above in the recess (30) of the main mold.
