Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2014154594A1] The invention relates to a bottom part (4) of a positive displacement pipetting system, comprising a body (19) slideably housing a device (20) for taking hold of a piston belonging to a capillary-piston assembly of which the capillary is intended to be push-fitted onto an end fitting of the body. According to the invention it also comprises means (46) of ejecting the capillary-piston assembly, which means are positioned externally with respect to the body (19). Also, it is designed in such a way that a relative rotation of the ejection means (46) and the device (20) for grasping, one with respect to the other, causes said bottom part to pass from an open configuration that allows the piston to be released to a closed configuration that allows this piston to be retained, and/or vice versa.
