[origin: WO2014154986A1] The method for controlling the operation of treating (defrosting, cleaning) a motor vehicle window (12), according to the present invention, includes the steps of: controlling the activation of the means (16) for producing at least one jet of fluid toward the window (12), then controlling the stopping of the means (16) for producing a jet of fluid, then controlling the movement of the movable means (18) for wiping the window (12). The steps of controlling the stopping of the means (16) for producing a jet of fluid and for controlling the movement of the means (18) for wiping the window (12) automatically follow one another, being offset in time relative to one another by a predetermined time delay, referred to as the fluid activity time delay, allowing a desired activity of the fluid on the window (12).
