Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2014161769A1] The invention relates to a steering engine, in particular for an underwater vehicle, having a hydraulic circuit (1), in which a pump (4) is arranged, wherein the pump (4) is a motor-operated reversible hydraulic pump (4), and the hydraulic circuit (1) is a closed circuit. A compensating device is provided for a closed hydraulic circuit, in particular of a steering engine, in which a reversible hydraulic pump (4) driven by a motor (5) acts directly on a hydraulic cylinder arrangement for controlling a rudder, wherein the compensating device is provided in order to keep a predetermined pressure in the hydraulic circuit (1) constant and comprises a tandem cylinder (7) having a piston rod (8) on both sides and equal piston areas, wherein two piston areas acting in the same direction are connected to a hydraulic reservoir (3) and the other two piston areas are respectively connected to one side of the hydraulic cylinder arrangement.
